BIOCHEM S.R.L. is one of the top companies on the market for the distribution of plant protection products, seeds and solutions for agriculture bio.Since then the company continued its growth both in terms of number of clients but also as a presence throughout the country and also in terms of product range on offer. It sells pesticides, fertilizers and seeds both on cash but also with flexible payment terms usually at the harvest of the specific crops the inputs are bought for. Its sales force is formed exclusively of highly trained agronomists that can offer not only good commercial terms on inputs but also valuable advice on treatment plans. Along with the inputs of main international producers, Biochem also distributes several inputs on exclusive basis in Romania.From 2014 the company decided to extend its core activity by adding a new business line and developing a network of silos and warehouses in the main agricultural areas of Romania. This way Biochem is improving both the quality but also the number of services to its farmer clients.A different project launched this year is a new finance company owned by the same shareholders of Biochem and called Biochem IFN (Non-Bank Financial Institution). It is in the process of raising capital that will be loaned to farmers for different needs (inputs acquisition, farm land acquisition, gas, silos and equipment).Future plans include the expansion of the specialized sales force together with the extension of the silos and warehouse network.By adding these latest business lines and improving and expanding the core business Biochem aims to become the leading provider of crop protection products and agronomy advice for Romanian farmers.
