IM Mining is mainly a mining holding company with interests in mining concessions and mining service companies. Its main assets are Almina (a mining company operating a mining concession in the South of Portugal); and EPDM, a mining service company. Apart from the operating site currently explored by Almina, IM Mining also owns other concessions in the initial exploration stage. IM Mining is a new company (was incorporated in 2008) with the purpose of acquiring Almina and reactivating the production at the mine. The new owners changed the production from Zinc to Copper, having invested over 150 million euros since. The extraction of copper ore has increased steadily from 500.000 tons in 2011 to 2.055.000 in 2014.
