ELITE is Borsa Italiana’s international programme launched in 2012 in collaboration with Confindustria to support companies’ growth projects. Thanks to this partnership with Confindustria, “ELITE Desks” have been set up throughout Italy, through which over half of the companies now entering ELITE were selected.
The event was introduced with a speech by Ugo Bassi, Director of Financial Markets in the European Commission’s DG FISMA, on the importance of providing European SMEs with financing tools that complement the banking channel in order to support their growth.
