What does “entrepreneurship” mean to you?
To me, entrepreneurship means building contexts in which people can fully express their potential. A company is born from the encounter of individuals, skills, and diverse visions, and it grows through the relationships that are built and nurtured over time, both internally and externally. Technologies and hardware are essential tools, but true value lies in know-how, trust, and the ability to connect and integrate complementary competences.

Doing business, as I see it, means creating a place: a space open to passion, experimentation, and conscious innovation, where people are free to build what would be difficult even to imagine elsewhere. It is within these environments that curiosity and vision meet, and where even radical ideas can find the structure needed to become real. Bringing together engineers, designers, scientists, artists, philosophers, architects, economists, and creatives means transforming making into something that goes beyond technology—into a tool for concrete economic, social, and ecological impact.
What is the biggest experience or lesson gained on your growth journey so far?
During my PhD period in the United States, I understood how deeply the way work environments are designed influences the quality of innovation. In contexts such as MIT and Harvard, collaboration is not left to chance it is intentionally designed. Spaces, organizational structures, and culture are conceived to foster continuous interaction among different competences, making dialogue between engineers, scientists, physicians, and designers natural and fluid.

I also learned how important it is to be surrounded by beauty. Well-designed, bright, and inspiring environments make people more open, more inclined to listen, and more willing to share. When people feel good in the spaces they inhabit, they collaborate better and take greater care of one another’s ideas. This experience taught me that innovation does not depend solely on individual talent, but on the ability to design physical and cultural contexts that enable collaboration, trust, and continuous exchange. It is a lesson I carry into Oniro today: designing not only technologies, but places and systems in which people can truly express themselves.

How is your company acting as a game changer in the landscape?
Oniro stands out because it approaches innovation as an integrated process, rather than as a simple combination of technology and product. On one hand, we develop a proprietary technology, Foam Additive Manufacturing, that enables the production of lightweight, fully recyclable monomaterial structures in a single process, overcoming many limitations of traditional additive manufacturing solutions. On the other hand, what truly differentiates us is our approach.

Oniro is conceived as a place where diverse competences work together from the very beginning: engineering, materials science, design, and systemic thinking coexist within the same development space. This allows us to address complex challenges transversally and to translate research into real-world applications more rapidly, generating tangible impact in sectors such as aerospace, naval manufacturing, and sustainable production. In this sense, Oniro does not compete solely on technology, but on the way innovation itself is built.
What Should Your Life Motto Be?
Festina lente (Make haste slowly).
Move fast, but with depth: because innovation must remain rooted in a harmonious relationship with nature and with reality.
ELITE: the European network of private SMEs which accelerates the process to access private and public capital markets. Why it can be the game changing opportunity companies should consider?
ELITE is an opportunity because it supports companies in growing in a structured and conscious way. It is not only about accessing capital, but about acquiring tools, skills, and an entrepreneurial culture that enable businesses to manage growth with greater solidity. At a time when many companies innovate quickly but without structure, ELITE provides a framework that helps give form, method, and credibility to entrepreneurial projects.

The value of the ELITE ecosystem also lies in its network: engaging with other companies, investors, and international partners broadens perspective, improves decision-making processes, and accelerates development without losing control or identity. For these reasons, it is an opportunity many companies should consider, especially those aiming to grow while maintaining coherence between vision, impact, and long-term sustainability.
