Arcaplanet was founded in 1997 from the idea of entering the retail market with an innovative project: to create a supermarket devoted exclusively to pets. In 1998 the first store was opened and by 2005, Arcaplanet had 12 stores and Credem Private Equity had acquired a stake in the Company. In 2010 with a network of 46 stores, Motion Equity Partners becomes the majority shareholder, and has since then helped the company grow to over 120 stores.Arcaplanet is therefore the main Italian chain of specialized stores for pets. Its network is characterized by a wide range of products, which varies from food, to accessories and health and grooming products. The Company relies on both the traditional retail channel and the recently launched website for e-commerce.
