Nau! is Italy’s first eyewear brand with its own shops. Nau! creates eyewear that is rich in colour, design and respect for the environment. All pieces are Limited Edition, with new collections launched every 15 days. Following an Italian artisan tradition dating back to 1850. Founded in 2004 by a small but talented group of managers with experience in the retail and fashion sectors, in 2005 Nau! launched its first collections and opened its first shop. In 2007, it launched the world’s first collection of eyewear made from recycled plastic and became a partner of Legambiente. In 2008, it submitted its financial statements for accounting certification. In 2010, it won the AZ Franchising Awards, alongside Yamamay and Geox. In 2011, it became the first eyewear and/or optical company in Europe to obtain UNI EN ISO 14001 Environmental Certification. In the same year, it launched the “Prezzo Zero” collection under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Association of Italian Ophthalmologists. In 2012, it opened its first shop in Rome, surpassed the 50-shop mark, and began a partnership with Yoox. It became a public limited company (SpA). In 2013, it launched its online shop in Italian and English.In 2015, it won the AZ Franchising Award for the second time for revolutionising the sector with an innovative business model. In the same year, it began its international expansion with its first openings in Barcelona and New Delhi.As of 31 December 2017, nau! has 135 shops and operates in Italy, Spain, India and Iran.
